Hutley's Run

Sometime back in the late 1990’s early 2000’s over a period of 6 years my buddy Hutley would round up the troops for a weekend of preverbal get-together of bullshit, lie’s and drinks. Hutley’s property was located in a small town named Quirindi located in North Western New South Wales about 5 hours north of Sydney and the same from Brisbane Queensland only in the south direction. It was easy for the Queensland crew to come down the coast into Northern New South Wales where I would join the small heard of Pans, Shovels and Knuckles and head over the range to the top of the tablelands and down to Quirindi. About the same time the Sydney crew on Indians, Knuckles, Pans and a couple of Flatheads would be making there way up the New England Highway to meet later that day. Both groups would end up in a small 1 horse town called Wallabadah where a small bluestone pub would accommodate our evening entertainment of catching up and telling lies of the days events while washing the dirt from our throats with cool ale’s. Later that night we would all climb aboard our rocket ship’s for the last 20 mile ride across to Hutley’s camp. This was always a great weekend.
